Song – Finally the music has been arranged and reviewed (at least
by one friend - choir master and real active composer) and the
verdict is “nice re-lyric, very smooth!”. Now we can claim that we
have a song that is unique to each of us, on the face of this
earth! This one is our own “My Way”! If you don’t want to miss a

Song – The lyrics have been set to music of a popular tune for
testing purposes. You can hear the background
melody for Verse A on
YouTube. Later a music score will be arranged to suit our style
and sentiments, it will be uploaded to YouTube for you to sing
karaoke, with band-like accompaniment! Our HK
NCE68 Karaoke Ensemble
(nick named
NCE68 Okes)
are commissioned to try it out, improve our rendition, record a
sound track video of our anthem and I will upload it to YouTube.
They shall lead the celebrants to sing along at Our Party!!
Meanwhile, any suggestions and comments are welcome. (Paul
Choi has suggested via WhatsApp for someone to create a Chinese
song for our celebration!).

Our
Song – Every member is encouraged to create a song/poem/verse for
NCE68+50 Celebration. Attached is one such attempt at creativity and shared
sentiments. Please review and reflect on it at your leisure -
provide genuine
feedback for refinement and encouragement. Any suggestions for the
following are appreciated: song title, lyrics, melody, key (not
too hi or lo), style (ballad/waltz/rhumba/cha cha…), voice (piano,
guitar, strings, big band…), tempo (65 - 125). Luckily all of the
above can be orchestrated by an electronic keyboard (we may
include drums/bass – to be dubbed by Michael Shih!?). Once we set
the lyrics to music (melody) and compose the music score, we will
produce our own music and put it on the internet so we all can
sing karaoke and get ready for the big day!!

been brainstorming already about The Song! If you want to see how
it feels to have your sentiments developed into the lyrics of Our
Song, this is your chance - - - send your expressions (re our
past, reunion, future) in phrases/short sentences to your
Webmaster before the end of July – because the song (lyrics) will
be published on 7 Aug. for review and refinement. The music score
will be published on 7 Sep. for refinement. The final version
publication will be made on 7 Oct. , so that everyone can practise
it 3x30 times before 7 Nov. !!! You can bet your bottom dollar
that Our Song will be there !

Grand Reunion Party – to be held on

our group will tour Australia Classic Golden Triangle (Melbourne,
G. B. Reef and Sydney) starting from HK, 9 Nov. until 17 Nov.
ending in Sydney. It will be a package/custom tour and we are
currently finalizing the details. If you decide to join us,
please let Bosco Ho know. This may be your last chance of
frolicking with your fellow alumni … A couple in Canada and
another couple in the USA are considering joining the group!

Cruise –
Sydney–Tasmania 7-day scenic relaxing cruise will start in Sydney
on 18 Nov. and will end in Sydney on 24 Nov. (6:00 a.m.),
flying back to HK the same day (optional). If you decide to join

Yes, we will sing a song to celebrate whenever we meet at
Reunions! Music students, please try your talents to compose one
song especially for us! Or the former P.E. student (yours truly)
will have to fake one or fill a popular tune with our own lyrics.

to express your personal NCE68 sentiments about our past/at a
reunion/future. Do this while your are happy reminiscing … !

Calling All NCE68 Alumni!
Finally our Golden Anniversary Celebration is beginning to take
shape and gather momentum.
An overseas caravan* is forming and will be traveling home to join
the locals to celebrate like never before!
Imagine if we miss this golden opportunity, the next big
celebration will be 2068 – most of us will be 120 years old !?
Here’s what we plan to do:

Grand Reunion Party (tbd
Nov. 5 – Nov. 8, 2018) plus additional events, to be organized by
the Homecoming Committee headed by our forever Student President
Daisy Lam. Some good news here – an anonymous member has already
pledged HK$7,000+ to help setting up the Party! She/he
encourages other alumni to make every effort to participate and
show some enthusiasm!

Side Trip – Australia
Highlights: a 7 Day or 9 Day or Customized tour (Melbourne,
Sydney, Great Barrier Reef …) (Nov. 9 – Nov. 17, 2018) - A
taste of Dow Under in the company of your most trusted friends.

Cruise - Scenic 7-day
Sydney-Tasmania cruise (Nov. 18 – Nov. 24, 2018) - Just
relax, party, no cleaning up, no worries!
Realize please that no one journey would be a perfect fit for
everyone. Some of you may have “been there, done that!”, or you
may have been secure in your comfort zone for too long, this
sojourn will be unique and once-in-a-lifetime experience. You can
pay for any trip, anywhere but you cannot pick a better kind of
fellow travelers!
Please let us know ASAP if you plan to attend any part(s) of/the
whole program, even if you are just ‘thinking about it’, or
‘remotely interested’, or ‘impossible! at this time’. Once you let
your imagination run wild visualizing what can happen in this epic
journey together, you will never let it slip by !!! Just say
Yes!
And … once you have accepted the challenge to make it happen, your
life will become more focused. You will avoid any unnecessary
risks, watch every careful step … to make sure you keep a healthy
body to move along with the group.
